Your 3D models,
in your pocket

Open any STL file and turn it over in your hand. Read the real dimensions, volume and surface area, and find out whether the mesh is actually watertight before you send it to a printer.

Works completely offline. No account, no sign-up, no tracking.

Built for looking at real parts

Most STL viewers stop at showing you a shape. Pocket 3D also tells you the things you need before printing one.

Measure

Real dimensions

Bounding size on every axis, volume, surface area and triangle count — measured in the file's own coordinates, so the axes match your CAD or slicer.

Verify

Watertight check

Every edge of a closed mesh is shared by exactly two faces. Pocket 3D checks that, and refuses to show a volume figure when the mesh is open — because on an open surface the number is meaningless.

Inspect

Standard views

Top, bottom, front, back, left, right and isometric in one tap, plus re-framing. STL is Z-up, so “top” means the top you'd see in your slicer.

Control

Direct manipulation

One finger orbits, pinch zooms, two fingers pan. No modes to switch between — just the model and your hands.

Style

Four shading modes

Flat, smooth, wireframe and x-ray, with six model colours and four backdrops. X-ray fades the near surfaces so you can see interior structure.

Open

Files from anywhere

Binary and ASCII STL, from the file picker, your recents, or shared straight into the app from another app.

Nothing leaves your device

Pocket 3D has no servers. Your models are read from local storage and rendered on your phone's GPU. There is no account system, no analytics, and no network request to send anything anywhere.
